Investigations continue after armed robbery of service station at Armidale

Police are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a service station in the state's Northern Tablelands.

About 2pm yesterday (Tuesday 23 July 2019), a man entered a service station on Marsh Street at Armidale where he threatened a console operator with a knife, demanding money.

The man left with lollies and drinks but no cash.

Police from the New England Police District arrived at the scene soon after and established a crime scene.

The man is described as of Aboriginal appearance, about 180cm, slim or medium build, wearing dark clothing with a black and white balaclava covering the lower half of his face.
