Investigations underway after report of shots fired in Granville

Police are investigating the report of shots fired at Granville overnight, NSW Police say.

About 10.35pm (Wednesday 27 December 2017), a resident in Bennalong Street, Granville reportedly heard a number of loud noises in the street.

The next day about 9am (Thursday 28 December 2017), the resident found a number of shell casings in the street and contacted police.

Officers from Rosehill Local Area Command attended the location and established a crime scene which was examined by forensic specialists.

No evidence of damage or reports of any injuries to persons were found.
