Investigations underway following suspicious fire at hotel in Petersham

Investigations are underway following a suspicious fire at licensed premises in Petersham this morning, NSW Police say.

About 1.20am (Monday 4 June 2018), police from Inner West Police Area Command responded to alarm activations at a hotel on Parramatta Road.

On arrival, officers located smoke coming from inside the building, which was closed at the time.

Fire & Rescue NSW officers attended and extinguished a small fire inside.

A crime scene has been established and is being forensically examined.
