Investigators appeal for witnesses to jetski fatality, NSW

Police investigating the death of a male jetski rider on the state’s Central Coast last week have appealed for witnesses to come forward, NSW Police say.

About 2.40pm on Friday 1 December 2017, emergency services were called to Chittaway Point on Tuggerah Lakes after reports that a man had been found floating unconscious in the water and rushed to the shore.

Police from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command established a crime scene at a home near Ourimbah Creek while attempts were made to resuscitate the 51-year-old man.

The man was conveyed to Wyong Hospital but sadly could not be revived.

Investigators from the Marine Area Command are conducting inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
