Investigators release images following attempted robbery at Glenroy

Moreland Crime investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information following an attempted robbery in Glenroy earlier this month, Victoria Police say.

It’s understood a 32-year-old man was walking north along Trevannion Street when he was grabbed from behind by an unknown offender about 4pm.

The offender demanded the victim’s wallet before the victim dropped to his knees and called out for help.

He was then punched in the head and his mouth covered by the offender.

The offender ran off, empty handed, heading south along Trevannion Street.

The victim received minor injuries in the incident.

Investigators have released two images of a male they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Anyone who recognises the male or has information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
