A new synthetic green and associated facilities will be installed at the Taroona Bowls and Community Club as part of the Tasmanian Government's 2025-26 Budget.
Premier Jeremy Rockliff said the Budget builds a better Tasmania, now and for the future, by investing in the things that matter most.
"The Taroona Bowls and Community Club is a much-loved facility for this region, and this funding will support it to become a year-round bowls venue," Premier Rockliff said.
"As part of our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, we are investing in community sporting facilities across the State.
"This year's Budget delivers what we said we would do, with a $300,000 investment in the Taroona Bowls and Community Club for a new synthetic green."
The Club is an important facility for the local community, hosting events for organisations such as the Taroona scouts, the schools and the fire service.
The new synthetic green will enable the Club to hold community bowling events in winter and increase the number of club competitions on offer.
Premier Rockliff said the 2025-25 Budget was all about getting the balance right.
"We are delivering on the things that matter, and providing a sensible pathway to surplus," he said.
