South Australian athletes competing in this month’s Invictus Games in Sydney were honoured at an official reception at Government House last night.

Premier Steven Marshall paid tribute to the SA based competitors who will represent their country with pride when the Invictus Games are held from October 20th to the 27th in the harbour city.

"The Invictus Games is a truly magnificent event which is open to current and former veterans and defence force personnel who have been wounded, injured or are ill. "I wish our South Australian Invictus Games athletes all the very best in their disciplines, as they have all worked and trained tirelessly to gain selection.

"We know that you will do South Australia proud, but most importantly, I know you will do yourself proud."
