Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters on Monday warned residents of northern Israel to leave the area if Israel carries out its threats to expand attacks to Beirut and its southern suburbs, according to statements reported by the official IRNA news agency.
The headquarters emphasized that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had threatened to bomb Beirut and the Dahiyeh district in the Lebanese capital, and had issued evacuation orders for local residents.
It warned that if such threats are carried out, residents of northern Israel and military settlements must leave the region if they wish to be spared.
In a post on the American social network X, the Intelligence Organization of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that Tehran views any crossing of what it terms red lines in Lebanon and Gaza as direct warfare, and as an attempt to undermine Iran's national security and what it calls the "axis of resistance."
The statement specified that Iran would retaliate through what it described as defensive operations, including "opening new fronts," while maintaining its position on the Strait of Hormuz.
"He who sows the wind reaps the whirlwind," the post warned.
Meanwhile, Mohsen Rezaei, an adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader, asserted on X that the Strait of Hormuz remains under Iranian administration and warned that Tehran would not tolerate what he described as a continued naval blockade.
"The Strait of Hormuz is under Iran's management. We will not allow the continuation of the naval blockade, and further escalation in Lebanon will not be tolerated," Rezaei wrote.
