It was bound to happen

Hurlingham Park Library Locker users can't help them-shelves, with the service reaching its 1000th reservation this week.

The state-of-the-art library locker was installed in September last year.

Kristy Green, Manager Libraries, Cultural & Customer Services at Bayside City Council noted that Bayside Library members were quick to utilise the service.

"Within the first 8 weeks of launching, we received over 280 collections," Kristy said.

The self-service, contactless nature of the library lockers enables Bayside residents' flexibility in collecting and returning library items.

"The library locker was the first step in providing a more convenient way for people to access the wonderful services of Bayside Libraries. Since then, we have also launched our out-of-hours access program Branch Out at Hampton Library, enabling registered members access to the branch from 6am - 10pm, 7 days per week," Kristy said.

Keep an eye on the fabulous service offerings of Bayside Libraries, as this tale is far from over.
