James Bay Lithium Mine Project — Participant Funding Allocated

The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (the Agency) has allocated $75,081 in federal funds to two recipients to assist their participation in the environmental assessment of the proposed James Bay Lithium Mine Project, located 100 kilometres east of James Bay and the Eastmain Cree Village in Quebec.

The funding was made available through the Agency's Participant Funding Program and will assist the participation of the public and Indigenous Peoples in upcoming steps of the environmental assessment. The steps include reviewing and providing comments on the Environmental Impact Statement or on the summary thereof, the draft Environmental Assessment Report, and the potential environmental assessment conditions.
