Jewellery stolen during early morning burglary, Ayr

Ayr Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) detectives are investigating a break and enter at a store in Ayr early this morning (October 22).

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 4.35am, three persons have attended a Queen Street store, smashing a door and stealing a large quantity of jewellery.

The group then left the scene in a white Toyota Landcruiser (pictured) stolen from Mackay yesterday (October 21). Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the vehicle is asked to immediately contact police.

Police attended and a crime scene was declared, with investigations underway.

Anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist investigations is urged to contact police.
