The Chairman of icare Michael Carapiet today announced that Mr John Nagle, icare’s current interim CEO & Managing Director, has been permanently appointed into the role following an extensive international search.
John is a highly regarded insurance executive veteran who has been central in the running of some of the largest insurance organisations in Australia. He was pivotal to the formation of icare in 2015 and has been a key executive figure ever since.
"Over the past two and a half years icare has undertaken significant transformation in providing customer-centric services to NSW businesses, injured workers and road users, builders and the wider NSW Government," Mr Carapiet said.
"John has a proven commitment to icare customers and our people and a thorough understanding and focus on our social purpose. He also has a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence," he said.
"First as the leader of icare Workers Insurance and more recently as interim CEO & Managing Director, John has driven a more empathetic approach to delivering services while at the same time keeping focus on improving internal efficiencies.
"He embodies the commercial mind and social heart ethos of icare.
"The Board is confident that with John at the helm icare will build upon the tremendous improvements already made and, importantly, deliver outstanding services to our customers," Mr Carapiet said.
Mr Nagle said he was excited and humbled by the opportunity to lead icare and serve the NSW community.
"I am privileged to work alongside some of the most passionate professionals in NSW who are all focussed on ensuring we can meet the needs of our customers," Mr Nagle said.
