Julia's Fabric Boutique has been supporting local sewists with new ideas, creative connection and quality fabric for the past 30 years.
Now, the much-loved boutique has a new owner who is ready to continue its strong reputation of craftmanship and community.
Estelle McGrath took over the business in August this year and is excited to connect with the local community to talk all things fabric, fit and sewing.
Specialising in natural fibre fabric, thread, buttons, patterns and various haberdashery, Julia's Fabric Boutique remains the go-to destination for anyone looking to bring their textile dreams to life.
"Previous owner Cathy built up a successful business and I felt as though I could see some potential opportunities," shared Estelle.
With fond memories of the boutique, Estelle is enthusiastic about continuing to nurture its legacy.
"My mum taught me to sew, and I have been doing lessons at Julia's for 10 years," she said.
Now, Estelle finds herself at the other end of the customer journey - experiencing the joy of seeing what her customers purchase and the beautiful projects that come to life afterwards.
"I would like to see the sewing community grow and I see Julia's Fabric Boutique as a great way for like-minded people to come together and connect."
Proudly showcasing the latest fabrics and client creations, Julia's Fabric Boutique has cultivated an inclusive online community of passionate sewists, from beginners to experts, through its Facebook page.
Estelle also looks forward to expanding her staff as the business continues to flourish.
Whether you're a seasoned sewist or thinking about threading your first needle, Julia's Fabric Boutique is an essential stop for all things fabric - also offering machine and overlocker servicing to ensure your machine is in pristine condition for your next project.
