Three talented local junior athletes have received financial support through Round 2 of the Ray Harvey Sports Foundation's 2025/26 funding program, with a total of $1,100 awarded to assist with the costs of representative sport participation.

The cheque presentation was held at Goulburn Mulwaree Council Chambers on Tuesday, 21 July 2026, where members of the Ray Harvey Sports Foundation Committee proudly recognised the achievements of the successful applicants.

The funding will help the athletes meet expenses associated with attending representative training camps, competitions and events, ensuring they can continue to pursue sporting excellence at higher levels.

This round's recipients represent a diverse range of sports and include David Samuel (Rugby Union), Jordan Sturgiss (Lawn Bowls) and Tyler Turriff (BMX Racing).

The Ray Harvey Sports Foundation is committed to supporting promising young athletes from the local region by helping to ease the financial burden that often accompanies representative sport.

The next opportunity to apply for funding will be Round 1 of the 2026/27 financial year. Details will be advertised on Council's website and distributed to local sporting organisations.
