Kangaroo Island bushfires - SeaLink

SeaLink

Statement from Jeff Ellison, CEO of SeaLink Travel Group

SeaLink is committed to the safety of Kangaroo Island residents and visitors.

We are working with the CFS, SAPOL, emergency services and community groups in response to the current bushfires on Kangaroo Island.

All non-essential travel to Kangaroo Island should be deferred. Anyone with an existing ticket can access a full refund and can call 13 13 01.

We have been advised there are 200-300 people on the Island who are currently in the relief centre at Kingscote and require immediate passage. We are working with authorities as a priority to transport these people to the mainland via ferry and coach services.

SeaLink continues to work with authorities and anyone requiring assistance should go to the relief centre at Kingscote Football Club, Centenary Avenue, Kingscote.

Maximum ferry services will run on Saturday 4th January.
