Baby with glasses on and bird singing

Kempsey Library's Storytime and Baby Bounce sessions are designed to support early literacy skills. Developing early literacy skills in bubs and toddlers sets the foundation for their future reading, writing and communicating. Singing, making sounds and rhyme all help develop early literacy skills.

Storytime happens every Friday fortnight at 10.30am. Storytime includes book readings, craft and often a musical activity. The sessions are designed for children aged 3 to 6 years and aim to develop early literacy skills in a fun and social environment.

Baby Bounce happens on the 4th Friday of each month at 10am. At Baby Bounce you and bub get to enjoy stories, rhymes, movement, and lots of fun with other young families. The sessions are interactive, fun and beneficial to both you and your child.

These sessions are held in Koala Cottage at Kempsey Library and are free. No booking required.
