A senior solicitor with South Australia's Crown Solicitor's Office has been appointed to fill a key leadership role within the state's anti-corruption watchdog.
Cassandra White has been appointed the next Deputy Commissioner of the Independent Commission Against Corruption, with direct oversight of the integrity body's legal, prevention and compliance sections.
Ms White is currently an Executive Solicitor in the Crown Solicitor's Office's Employment Law section, where she has worked for the last 21 years.
Prior to that, she has worked in high-level roles at Workplace Services (now SafeWork SA) and Sparke Helmore Lawyers.
She will take on the position from Monday May 4.
As put by Kyam Maher
Cassandra White is an exceptionally capable solicitor with a history of managing highly complex legal matters during her time with the Crown Solicitor's Office.
She has an extensive background in providing high level advice on a range of legal matters across Government with a focus on employee misconduct and integrity.
I have every faith in her ability to provide strong leadership of one of our key integrity bodies, working alongside the Commissioner of the Independent Commission Against Corruption, in holding Government agencies to account and combatting corruption and maladministration in the public sector.
