Launceston Police is investigating a related car burglary, business burglary and vehicle fire in Kings Meadows overnight, Tasmania Police say.
Late last night a blue Subaru Outback station wagon was stolen from Mowbray and reversed through the front doors of the Liquor Barn, Kings Meadows Hotel.
Extensive damage was caused to the front of the bottle shop and a quantity of alcohol and cigarettes stolen.
The Subaru was subsequently located set alight adjacent to the South Launceston Football Club rooms at Youngtown.
Damage was caused to the football ground scorers box due to the radiant heat from the vehicle fire.
Anyone with information in relation to the thefts, fire, or the sale of any suspicious alcohol of cigarettes is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
