The jewel in the City of Logan's cultural crown is set to move to a new address … sort of.

Construction of a new entry to the Kingston Butter Factory (KBF) off Jacaranda Avenue has finished.

This means that the entertainment and cultural precinct now officially fronts 270 Jacaranda Avenue.

The KBF was previously a resident of Milky Way.

City Lifestyle Committee Chair Councillor Laurie Koranski said the new address was another major milestone for the KBF redevelopment.

"The construction of the new entry for the KBF was an important but challenging aspect of the project," Cr Koranski said.

"Given that the precinct can accommodate up to 5000 people it is essential that the surrounding road network is adequate.

"We thank all members of the community for their patience with the roadworks over the recent construction period of the new entrance."

Logan City Council is transforming the historic Kingston Butter Factory into a world-class community precinct for arts, culture and entertainment.

The outdoor venue is expected to attract national and international acts and host major festivals, markets and community events.

The historic KBF building will become a cultural heritage hub with an indoor theatre, a living museum all while retaining its heritage façade.

The redevelopment is expected to be completed this Spring.
