Kyrgyzstan Boosts Employer Capacity with New Labor Code

The JIA Business Association, with support from the International Labour Organization (ILO), has concluded a series of seminars and consultations with employers on the new Labour Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The initiative followed JIA's successful lobbying for improvements to the new Labour Code, which resulted in several of its proposals being reflected in the legislation. The consultations aimed to improve employers' understanding of the new provisions, strengthen compliance and reduce risks of penalties and losses from incorrect application of the law. The series concluded with a final roundtable held on 4 September.
