Latrobe City Draft Cultural Diversity Action Plan 2019 – 2023
Following consultation with Latrobe City's Cultural Diversity Advisory Committee and key stakeholders who work with culturally diverse groups, Latrobe City has recently developed a draft Cultural Diversity Action Plan for the next 4 years.
The key purpose of this plan is to provide a focus for Council to continue to improve services and information that are inclusive of people from diverse backgrounds. The Plan has been prepared with extensive research into the best practice principles, including from human rights and anti-discrimination legislation and national and state commitments to inclusion, multiculturalism and equality.
Latrobe City Council is now seeking feedback from the community on the draft Plan to ensure it incorporates principles and actions that work towards improving Latrobe City's delivery of services and information, as well as bringing about positive changes for culturally diverse people and communities in its municipality.
Community members can view the draft Plan in hard copy at any of Latrobe City's Service Centres and Libraries, or access the plan online or request a hard copy be sent to them. The draft document can also be made available in alternative languages and formats upon request. Feedback is to be provided by 17 September 2019.
