The pair were oblivious to their good fortune until we made contact yesterday morning.

"You're joking!?" the winning man exclaimed when the enormity of their prize was revealed.

"No! This is a joke. This is really a joke. It can't be true. You have no idea what this means," his wife added.

"What a lovely Mother's Day present," the man exclaimed.

"We're out driving but have just pulled up.

"We might just go look for our first home. We've always dreamt about it. We've always talked about it. We won't be renting anymore!"

"I might go buy a bottle of champagne this afternoon to celebrate!"

Their winning 12-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Prospect Marketplace News, Shop 7, 350 Westbury Road, Prospect.

Prospect Marketplace News owner Ravi Teja Varma Gottimukkala said it was the second time his outlet had sold a division one winning entry during the past 14 years.

"When we first heard our outlet had sold a division one winning entry, we were absolutely shocked and excited!" he said.

"It's such an incredible feeling knowing that someone from our community is now a multi-millionaire. Everyone in the store was cheering and smiling - it honestly felt unreal at first. We're so happy and proud that our outlet could be part of such a life-changing moment.

"To our division one winner - congratulations on this life-changing win. We hope this prize brings you and your family happiness, security and many unforgettable memories.

"Wherever you are, enjoy every moment and don't forget to celebrate."
