The Tasmanian Government is committed to rebuilding a stronger Tasmania and supporting our regional tourism operators and businesses.
A great vehicle to do this is via the Tasmanian Drive Journeys initiative.
The $1.4 million initiative will deliver a suite of five self-drive touring experiences to encourage visitors and Tasmanians to explore the regional parts of our state.
To complement the existing Western Wilds and the evolved Great Eastern Drive, the new Journeys will be known as Southern Edge, Northern Forage and Heartlands.
The Drive Journeys will provide Tasmanians with a new way to explore their home state and promote Tasmania as a leading global self-drive touring destination.
The Tasmanian Drive Journeys Project is being delivered through a partnership between the Department of State Growth and
Tourism Tasmania, in collaboration with the state's regional tourism organisations.
