Melbourne, Australia, December 10, 2018 /- nextLiFi (LIFICTM), a leading Li-Fi and visible light communications technology company are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Masud Bakaul as the company's Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Bakaul has joined the nextLiFi Senior Management team and will lead the Melbourne Research and Development Centre and oversee the company's international research projects and product and patent developments.
Dr. Bakaul is a highly acclaimed researcher and developer of Optoelectronic, Photonic and Communication technologies with all his BE, MS and PhD degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He brings a wealth of R&D knowledge and experience to the team which he has acquired over 18 years of his employment with leading Australian organisations including NICTA (currently Data61), the University of Melbourne and Monash University. He was the Principal Investigator of Monash Malaysia Photonics and Communications Research Laboratory and nextLi-Fi's research in Malaysia. Through his research, development and commercialisation efforts, he has made a significant contribution to the scholarship of Optoelectronic, Photonic and Communication technologies that brought him several prestigious awards and distinctions. He has authored more than 100 technical articles in IEEE and OSA journals and conferences and given 10 invited speeches to the leading international conferences. He is an active member of the leading professional organisations and contributed significantly to the organisation of many technical events.
