Police are currently at the scene of a light plane crash near Agnes Waters, Queensland Police say.
Initial information suggests the incident involving a private aircraft happened at around 11am this morning on the eastern side of Middle Island near Agnes Waters.
One female passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male pilot was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital. His injuries are unknown. One 29-year-old female passenger in a critical condition was flown to Rockhampton Hospital and is receiving treatment for a head injury. A 13-year-old male passenger was transported to Rockhampton Hospital with minor injuries.
Officers from the Rockhampton Forensic Crash Unit and Criminal Investigation Branch will investigate with the relevant authorities.
