Liquor seized

Northern Territory Police have seized a large quantity of liquor destined for remote communities in the West Arnhem region yesterday.

Around 6:00pm, police apprehended a Holden Commodore travelling at 186km/h in a 130km/h zone heading towards Jabiru.

A search of the vehicle located;

  • 1 x 30 pack VB
  • 1 x 30 pack Great Northern
  • 1 x 2L Chardonnay
  • 3 x 1L Bundaberg
  • 3 x 1L Wild Turkey
  • 4 x 700ml Bundaberg

A total of 37 litres was seized and destroyed.

The driver of the vehicle, a 28-year-old male, was issued with a notice to appear in court on Tuesday 1 September 2020.
