Lithgow City Council, New Councillor determined

Lithgow Council

The NSW Electoral Commission has today completed the countback to determine the person who will fill the vacant councillor role on Lithgow City Council. The result will see Steve Ring return to the Council.

The Mayor, Councillor Maree Statham said, "The countback process has been smoothly and efficiently managed by the Commission, at a much lower cost than a city-wide by-election."

The Mayor added, "It is a busy time for the Council, so it is encouraging that we have returned to a position where all councillor positions are filled."
