Living bequest - Mosman

Mosman Art Collection will be expanded through an inaugural living bequest of 12 significant artworks from long-time local residents.

The generous legacy donation by longstanding Mosman Art Gallery supporters and second-generation Mosman residents Carol and Brian Carrigan bequeaths works by contemporary artist Lucy Culliton, including four which were loaned to the gallery in 2014 for Culliton's exhibition Eye of the Beholder, a Margaret Olley still life and a portrait photograph by Ian Lloyd of Olley painting the work in-situ in her now famous Paddington living room.

The Carrigan collection will complement the gallery's existing works by Mosman Art Prize winners Olley and Culliton and provide further depth to its representation of leading Australian female artists for future generations.
