Local nurse charged with fraudulently using patient's credit card in Gosford

A woman has been charged with fraudulently using a patient’s credit card at a shopping complex at Gosford earlier this year, NSW Police say.

An investigation was commenced by officers from Brisbane Water after receiving a complaint of theft by a nurse at a local hospital.

It’s alleged a 38-year-old nurse stole a credit card from a 77-year-old patient and fraudulently used it to purchase goods at a local shopping centre.

Following investigations police have now charged the 38-year-old woman with dishonestly obtain property by deception.

She was given bail and will appear at Woy Woy Local Court on Tuesday 1 November 2016.
