Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Program Now Open

Wentworth Shire

Local sporting organisations may be eligible for funding through the NSW Government's 2026/2027 Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Program.

The program aims to improve safety at community sporting venues by increasing access to life-saving equipment. Grants of up to $3,000 are available to assist eligible organisations with the purchase of an approved Automated External Defibrillator (AED) package. Eligible organisations can receive funding for one AED package under this funding round.

Applications are being assessed on a first-in, first-served basis, with a total funding pool of $500,000 available statewide. Applications close when funds are exhausted or by 1:00pm on Wednesday 7 October 2026, whichever occurs first.

Organisations must meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the program guidelines.

For eligibility criteria, approved AED packages and application information, visit the NSW Office of Sport website (https://www.nsw.gov.au/grants-and-funding/local-sport-defibrillator-program-lsdp-2026/27).
