The much-loved Lou’s Handball segment returns to Nine today on the Sunday Footy Show.
The popular weekly segment that has become synonymous with the program was last seen regularly on the Sunday Footy Show in 2013, and is back with a twist to the original format. This year an AFL star will take on a local footy legend each week, with the topscorer winning a Jetstar flight voucher worth $1,000 and the chance to win the major prize: a $10,000 Jetstar voucher.
Lou’s Handball had a very brief comeback when newsbreaker Damian Barrett took on host Tony Jones in one of the highlights of the Sunday Footy Show in 2018.
“At a time when so many traditions in football are falling by the wayside, it’s good to keep hold of this one. Lou’s Handball really is a great tradition,” Jones said.
Turn back the clock and enjoy an old favourite when Lou’s Handball returns to the Sunday Footy Show today from 10.00am on Nine and 9Now.
