Mactaquac Marine expanding tourism business

As the tourism sector prepares to welcome visitors when public health measures are lifted, the Government of Canada continues to support businesses and organizations through investments that help draw visitors to our communities and rural areas.

Government investing in initiative to boost local tourism

Darren Fisher, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages and Minister responsible for Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), today announced an investment of $220,000 for Mactaquac Marine to expand its unique houseboat vacation business and meet customer demand.

This contribution will help Mactaquac Marine build two additional houseboats and create five seasonal jobs. It will also draw visitors to the local communites, allowing them to discover the unique places, food, experiences and adventures nearby.

Today's announcement further demonstrates the Government of Canada's commitment to supporting Canadian jobs and helping business owners, so that our economy can come roaring back.
