Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, "Each year, Magic of Christmas brings our local community together to celebrate the spirit and joy of Christmas.
"While I was unable to attend this year's event. I would like to thank Deputy Mayor Sam Stratikopoulos for attending on my behalf.
"Unfortunately, the planned fireworks could not proceed due to a total fire ban. Despite this, thousands of families still enjoyed a wonderful evening filled with festive performances, kids' entertainment and community spirit.
"I'd like to thank event sponsors Optus and Georges Estate, vendors, performers, Council staff and the community for contributing to this event and making it such a success."
