Maidstone aggravated burglary and subsequent deceptions

Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating following an aggravated burglary in Maidstone and subsequent deceptions earlier this month, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told computers, mobile phones, identification documents and a credit card were stolen while the victims slept at their Ashley Street residence sometime between 11pm on 7 April and 3am the following morning.

The stolen credit card was used by a woman to purchase items at a service station on Napier Street in Footscray on 8 April.

The woman was seen walking to a small white car parked on Cowper Street after she left the store.

She is described as approximately 40 years old and Caucasian in appearance with a medium build and long brown hair.

It is believed she was wearing a grey long sleeve top, sunglasses and a gold chain around her neck.

Police have released CCTV and images of a woman who they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers.
