Major Crash investigators are investigating the death of a man following an incident earlier this month, according to SA Police.

The incident occurred about 1.40pm on Wednesday 16 November, at bus stop X1 on King William Street, Adelaide.

Initial investigations suggest the elderly man was standing at the bus stop before he fell under a passing bus. He sustained critical injuries and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. He subsequently died of those injuries today.

The death of the 72-year-old Kilburn man is the 87th on South Australian roads so far this year. The road toll at the same time last year was 95.
