Major drug bust at Northgate, QLD

Police have charged two people with drug offences including trafficking, following the execution of a search warrant at Northgate yesterday, Queensland Police say.

At 9am, officers attended the Frederick Street address where it will be alleged they located approximately 20kg of cannabis and a large sum of cash.

Two people were arrested at the property and taken into custody soon after.

A 63-year-old Northgate woman and a 59-year-old Northgate man have been charged with one count each of trafficking dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs and receiving tainted property.

Both are expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.
