Male stabbed in neck, man charged, NSW

Police have arrested a man after he allegedly stabbed another male in the neck while he was sleeping at Moss Vale early this morning, NSW Police say.

About 3.45am (Tuesday 6 March 2018), a 17-year-old male was awoken in his Patuna Avenue home after receiving a stab wound to the side of his neck.

Police will further allege a struggle ensued between the two and the injured male hit the other male several times with a baseball bat.

Other occupants of the house were awoken and managed to separate the pair.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and the injured male was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Police attended and a crime scene was established.

A 20-year-old man was arrested at the house and taken to Bowral Police Station. He was charged with

malicious wounding with intent to cause serious indictable offence and armed with intent to commit serious indictable offence.

He was refused bail and will appear in Moss Vale Local Court later today.
