Male youth proceeded against for fire at Hungry Jacks at Devonport

As part of the police investigation into a fire at Hungry Jacks in Devonport on Monday, a 17-year-old male youth will be proceeded against under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act for the offence of Unlawfully Setting Fire to Property.

Around 1.30pm on Monday, Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police attended the fire at Hungry Jacks on Steele Street.

Around five thousand dollars damage was caused and the store closed for about two hours.

Police would like to thank members of the community for their assistance in this matter.
