Man and woman arrested for drug offences, SA

A 36-year-old man and a 38-year old woman were arrested yesterday afternoon follow an investigation by Serious and Organised Crime Branch Detectives from the Crime Gangs Task Force, SA police say.

At 1.30am on Sunday 3 January police from the Hills Fleurieu Local Service Area spoke to the couple when their vehicle was seen in the car park of a business at Hahndorf.

While speaking with the man and woman police located and seized a trafficable quantity of two substances believed to be illicit drugs plus cash.

Subsequent testing of the substances identified them as ‘fantasy’ and methamphetamines.

The man and woman from Tailem Bend were arrested yesterday after they were stopped in their vehicle near Port Wakefield Road Cavan.

Police will allege the 36-year-old man is an associate of the Mongols Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.

The pair have been charged with two counts of trafficking in controlled drugs. They have been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
