A man and woman have been arrested following a police operation at Blacktown this afternoon, NSW Police say.
Just after 2.30pm today, officers from Blacktown Local Area Command attended Marana Street, Blacktown, and attempted to speak to a man in the garage of a property.
It’s alleged the man was armed with a knife and in the company of a woman at the location.
Police secured a perimeter and with the assistance of Police Negotiators and the Tactical Operations Unit, a 33-year-old man and 28-year-old woman were arrested about 4.45pm.
They were both taken to Blacktown Police Station where they are assisting police with their inquiries.
No one was injured during the incident.
