Man appears in court over 2007 incidents

Police have extradited a man from New South Wales yesterday following investigations into a number of matters from 2007, Queensland Police say.

It is alleged that in April of 2007, a man aged in his 60s was approached by a man on Pine Mountain Road in Carindale who claimed to be a police officer.

It is further alleged that the man was put into a van and then driven to an unknown location where he was threatened and a quantity of property was taken.

A 69-year-old was extradited from New South Wales yesterday on three outstanding warrants.

A man was charged in 2008 with one count each of kidnapping, demanding property with menace, robbery in company, assuming designation of a police officer, possession of a restricted item and a breach of bail.

He will re-appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
