Man arrested after being filmed driving dangerously, NSW

A man has been arrested after he was filmed allegedly driving in a dangerous manner at Gillieston Heights, in the state’s Central Hunter region, NSW Police say.

Just after 11.35am today (Sunday 17 December 2017), a member of the public filmed a Nissan Skyline GTR allegedly driving in a dangerous manner along Cessnock Road at Gillieston Heights.

Police became aware of the incident and officers from Central Hunter Local Area Command commenced inquiries.

About 12.40pm, the vehicle was located and stopped on Maitland Road at Cessnock.

The driver was arrested and taken to Cessnock Hospital to undergo blood and urine testing.

The 39-year-old man was then taken to Cessnock Police Station where he was charged with drive manner dangerous; negligent driving; overtake to left of vehicle; and not keep left of dividing line.

He was given bail to appear at Kurri Kurri Local Court on 11 January 2018.
