Man arrested after break-in a unit at Kensington, SA

Information from the public has helped catch a man breaking into a unit at Kensington early this morning, according to SA Police.

Just after 12.30am, Tuesday 26 September, police received calls from members of the public after hearing someone breaking into a unit on Phillips Street.

Patrols quickly attended and allegedly caught the man in the unoccupied unit in possession of a crowbar, gloves and a knife.

The 54-year-old man from Kensington was charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, carrying an offensive weapon and going equipped to commit an offence.

He has been refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
