Man arrested after fire in Gosford

A man has been charged after he allegedly caused a fire in a garage today in Gosford., NSW Police say

About 2.05pm today, emergency services were called to Faunce Street, Gosford, following reports of a garage fire.

Officers from Fire & Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze.

Police from Brisbane Water Local Area Command arrested two males – aged 18 and 12 – a short distance away.

They were both taken to Gosford Police Station.

The 12-year-old boy was released pending further inquiries.

The 18-year old man was charged with damaging property by fire and trespass.

He was given strict conditional bail to appear before Gosford Local Court on Tuesday 29 November 2016,

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
