Police arrested a man yesterday after a firearm was located at Woodville South, according to SA Police.
At about 2pm on Wednesday 5 October, patrols were called to Cramond House mental health facility at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, after staff located a small firearm (not loaded) under the pillow of a patient.
The firearm was not pointed or directed at staff or other patients, and no threats were made.
Police seized the firearm and following an investigation by Western Adelaide CIB, a 52-year-old from the western suburbs was arrested and charged with aggravated possession of a firearm without a licence, unregistered firearm, insecure firearm and breach of bail.
He has been refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
