Man arrested after serious assault at Blair Athol, SA

A man has been arrested today over an incident where a man was allegedly held against his will for two nights, according to SA Police.

The victim was treated at Modbury Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Holden Hill CIB detectives attended a Blair Athol address at 8am this morning to investigate allegations the man was held against his will and assaulted by people who were known to him.

A 24-year-old Blair Athol man was arrested and charged with detaining a person to commit an indictable offence, aggravated cause harm and breach of bail.

He did not apply for bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police wish to reassure the community that this was not a random incident and the people involved are known to each other.
