Man arrested after servo hold-up, SA

A man has been arrested after a service station robbery at Salisbury overnight, according to SA Police.

A man entered the petrol station on Salisbury Highway about 2.50am on Thursday 1 December and threatened the attendant with a rock before stealing cash and tobacco.

Fortunately, the staff member was not physically injured during the robbery.

Patrols arrived at the scene within minutes and searched the area for the suspect. He was located nearby and arrested.

Police Dog Argus was called in and he was able to track the route taken by the suspect and locate the stolen property.

The 44-year-old Salisbury man was charged with aggravated robbery, refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.
