A 49 year old man from Claremont was arrested last night by police after he produced a knife and demanded money from staff at a McDonalds restaurant in Moonah, Tasmania Police say.
The man was taken into custody at the restaurant without incident.
None of the staff or attending police were injured.
Detective Inspector Craig Joel said: ‘Anyone who may have saw a white Holden Commodore parked in Maxwell Street in Moonah at 10.30 pm on Saturday night, or the occupant of that vehicle, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
