Man arrested following aggravated burglary in Doncaster East

Manningham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested and charged a man in relation to an aggravated burglary in the Doncaster area, Victoria Police say.

The incident took place at an address on Nonda Avenue on 31 August where a number of items were stolen whilst the occupants slept.

It is also alleged a credit card stolen during the aggravated burglary was used a short time later at a service station in Templestowe Lower.

Police executed a search warrant at a Brunswick address where a number of items were seized and a man was subsequently arrested.

The 49-year-old Brunswick man has been charged with aggravated burglary, theft, handle Stolen Goods, drug possession and offences against the bail act.

He has been remanded to appear at Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on 21 September.
