A man has been arrested following a stand-off with police at Fairy Meadow, near Wollongong this morning, NSW Police say.
About 9am (Wednesday 7 November 2018), police attended a house on the Princes Highway following reports of a domestic dispute.
As police arrived the 23-year-old man retreated into the house allegedly armed with several knives.
Police secured a perimeter and negotiations commenced with the man.
Just before midday police discharged an electronic control device and the man was arrested.
He has been taken to Wollongong Hospital for assessment.
Inquiries are continuing.
